Fat separators are used where the waste water contains a greater amount of fat. The device is installed close to the source of fat contamination – for example – at the outlet of sewage from kitchens, restaurants, hotels, butchers, bars, etc. Fat does not dissolve in water, but settles on the pipe walls, which causes an unpleasant smell and clogs the pipes.
